Fifty years ago, Harmonia Island was a naturally beautiful place, practically devoid of human touch and filled to the brim with a wide array of pokemon species. It was around that time that a private research project began. Credits were funneled in by the millions and the island's ecosystem was artificially stimulated, enhanced by man's hands to support practically every species of pokemon. During the initial stage of this project a bustling community of workers had arisen, becoming what is now known as Mavro City. However, due to lacking funds and a premature ending of the project, the motivations behind this operation went unknown to those involved.

The number of residents at Mavro quickly grew over the years. Harmonia Island began to properly live up to its name - humans and pokemon lived together in harmony. This led to the founding of Gray Haven Academy, an institute of learning to help introduce young minds to the world of pokemon. Building the foundation took some time, but thirty years ago Gray Haven Academy formally opened. Many were attracted to the academy due to the island's rich diversity of pokemon, though there were some who were simply interested in cashing in on a seemingly good venture. Either way, Mavro City and Gray Haven Academy developed a symbiotic relationship and both grew as a result.

In the time that followed, the academy steadily grew, as did Mavro City. Harmonia Island seemed like a sort of paradise. It was a place of steady scientific, cultural, and industrial growth. This happened all without endangering the environment or ruining the unique and diverse ecosystem the island had developed. However, around three years ago the crime rate began to rise. Authorities attributed most of the spike in crime to one organized group. Dubbed Team Origin, their acts of violence soon escalated to property damage, pokemon theft, and, according to hushed reports, even murder. Around that time, Gray Haven Academy had gotten a new headmaster as well.

Will this Team Origin prove to just be a phase the city has to go through before being snuffed out by authorities? Can the new management at the Academy keep things in order in the face of the growing threat? Or will paradise be lost on Harmonia Island?
