Welcome to the Breeding Center! This is where students or any other residents may freely breed their Pokemon as they see fit. Located in the heart of Marvo city, the breeding center is open to all those on Harmonia Island. The building itself is very noticeable. Not only is it very big, but it's bright, colorful and has an odd curly architecture. The inside is just as bright, and its filled to the brim with facilities and staff to help people with breeding free of charge. They also provide additional tools to skilled breeders.
The following are some rules and information regarding how breeding works.
1) To get things started, make a personal breeding thread on this board. There, you can specify which pokemon you want to breed, and the mods will spawn an egg for you. ICly, only the species will be known.
2) In order for two pokemon to breed, they must be in the same egg group and be opposite genders. The only exception to this is ditto, who can breed with anything including genderless pokemon.
2) After having your Pokemon breed, you must wait two weeks (or in this case, two Sundays, since all resets happen on Sunday) before that Pokemon may breed again. This amount is lowered to one week if the Trainer of the Pokemon has their first Breeding Emblem.
3) You may have one of your Pokemon breed with a Pokemon belonging to another character. One character will make the request in their thread, and the other character will confirm that it's okay. Any benefits that either trainer has from Breeding Emblems will influence the egg. The only exception is that Trainers without the first Breeding Emblem will still have their Pokemon put on a two week waiting period before they can breed again. The eggs produced will count towards both characters' breeding emblem progress. Any cooperative breeding must be done with pokemon belonging to another person's character; you cannot use any pokemon belonging to other characters you play.
4) Any Eggs produced will have a 50/50 chance of being either species. However, in the case that a "rare Pokemon" breeds with a normal Pokemon, the child only has a 20% chance of being the rare species and an 80% chance of being the normal. The ratio will remain normal for two rare Pokemon. If a trainer has the second Breeding Emblem, the species can be decided by the trainer.
5) Results that are influenced by items will still apply. For example, breeding a Pikachu or Raichu while holding a Light Ball will still guarantee that the offspring will be a Pichu that has Volt Tackle. If you are trying to get these results, be sure to say so when you make your breeding request.
6) The effects of any emblems must be specified when breeding. If they're not, they will not be applied when the mod spawns eggs.
7) If you are breeding an egg just to exchange it at The Exchange, then please say so when posting. That way, the mods can just roll for the species without having to roll for everything else.
1) For the Egg to hatch, you must make 10 IC posts.
2) After you have these posts, post here to display the links to all these posts.
3) If more than one trainer was involved in creating this egg, specify who else should get credit too. If you don't, those eggs will not count towards the other trainer's emblems.
4) The mods will not post in response to these. Unless you receive a PM afterward, assume that you've hatched your egg successfully.
5) If any of your Pokemon have the ability Flame Body or Magma Armor, then only 5 posts are needed to hatch any eggs. If you have more than one Pokemon with either Ability, the effects do not stack. If you got the egg before getting a pokemon with this ability, the effect applies retroactively, so you still only need 5 posts to hatch that egg.
