Finley likes all sorts of people for all kinds of reasons. He likes the loud idealists as rivals, and the quiet and introspective for nice conversations over tea. He likes the cunning for great and elaborate planning of pranks and the like, and the reckless and impulsive for the fun that can only come from charging into something head-first.
Those who rub him the wrong way are most commonly the sort that think they're better than him, or don't respect him for one reason or another (even if it's for a good reason). For these people, Finley unconsciously sets aside a good bit of time to think about how to overcome them with overzealous plots he may one day actually put into action.
Love isn't something he's outright looking for, but he'll be far from against it if he bumps into it. Gender isn't an issue for him, and puts a lot of weight on how much he enjoys spending time with them. Those who are as whimsical-minded as him tend to rank highly in his book.
Things Finley will do with you include (but are not limited to):
Chatting about a book over tea or something nice
Bakinghaving a bake-off to the death
Having a pokemon battle or contest
Creating a fake scene in public just for the reactions of others
A prank war
Wandering about for no reason in particular
Wandering about for the purpose of doing something dangerous
Training pokemon together

A pokemon battle/contest in preparation to take on the wardens
There's rumors going around about sightings of a legendary pokemon in one of the island's caves. These rumors are never consistent, but who's going to miss a possible chance to see a legendary pokemon?
A sudden downpour creates a need to run for the nearest shelter - which, for both of them, happens to be a haunted house. The downpour's not letting up, and that house is most certainly not empty...
Upon waking after a night in the wilderness, all of their stuff is gone! The two bump into each other, and both facing the same plight, join forces to get their stuff back.
Something weird's up with one of the small creeks on the island. It's a small enough thing that the staff's not doing anything about it, but what if the problem gets bigger?
A play is coming to town, but some of the actors got into a large pokemon battle and ended up hurt. The show's that night and they need people! Our characters happen to be the nearest.
A nice walk through the woods is going great until suddenly beedrill.
There's a notice going around that someone'll pay some good money for a fang or claw of a garchomp, and you think you know where you can find one...
Also, Finley is looking for a dorm mate if any male bolt students are interested.
