    Getting struck with his usual hit of wanderlust, Crispin was taking a stroll through the plains.  Jove was nested in his trainer's hair as had become the norm, the small bug Pokemon fast asleep and humming to himself.  The electricity in the air was making Crispin's hair stand on end from the static, which just made Jove all the happier.  Tori was just as tired, although since the larger Pokemon didn't fit so easily on his head, she was resting comfortably in her Pokeball.  His last Pokemon, Aster, was gently fluttering around behind him as he walked.  

    Despite the thunder around him, the foreigner was having a pretty nice walk.  While he enjoyed being in the company of other people, it was nice just to take a walk by himself and his Pokemon once in a while.  A noise off to the side drew his attention, and he turned to see what it was.  Aster stopped fluttering for a moment, curiously turning to see what had made the commotion.

Crispin blinked over at the Zigzagoon as it stumbled into view, the small Pokémon looking exceptionally more frizzy than he was pretty sure it was supposed to. He had a feeling the naturally occurring static in the area was causing all sorts of problem for the little guy. Well, nothing shows his sympathy by having Aster beat the little bugger up. They both needed some training after all. “Awrite Aster, ye ready? Start oyt wi' a sunny day.”

The little cotton ball fluttered forward slowly, her green eyes narrowing and glowing slightly as her leaf-arms fluttered. The sun overhead seemed to grow even harsher as the area around them brightened, and Aster bounced happily at the bright light. On the other hand, the Zigzagoon did not seem as thrilled. Grumbling as it squinted it’s eyes, it scowled at the Cottonee that had caused it’s already fowl day to get even worse. After trying to shake off the terrible static that it had accumulated, the Zigzagoon’s fur stood on end before four sharp strands shot off towards Aster.

Aster took the hit like a champ, although it obviously hurt the poor things fluff. Crispin flinched and narrowed his eyes, sighing. “Gran', yer nu what's next. Solar beam!” Aster shook herself off, focusing back at the Pokémon in front of her as a beam of light began to shine in front of her. Thanks to the bright light surrounding them, rather than gathering energy, it got what it needed and shot towards the small Pokémon instantly.

While the pin missile may have hurt Aster, it was nothing compared to what her attack seemed to do to the Zigzagoon. Shuddering slightly, it scowled back at the Cottonee with much less fight than it had in it the first time. Fluffing up its fur again, three sharp pins shot towards Aster this time. The Cottonee was hurting a bit, but it was obvious her opponent was just about done. Without waiting for her trainer’s command, she launched another beam of solar-powered light towards the racoon-thing. It managed to move out of the brunt of the attack, but quickly high high it out of there with what little bit of strength it had left.

Crispin may have been glad it was an easy fight, but he still frowned at his Cottonee. “Yer did a gran' job Aster, but yer nade ter wait for me direcshun in de future. Aye, that's wat oi wus gonna say, but we nade ter git in de practice av bein' more in sync, gran'? Otherwise, keep up wat you're doin'!” Aster turned towards her trainer, looking a bit sheepish as she floated back his way. They had a ways to go, of course, but they were getting there.
