Santos was still trudging through the desert area looking for an elusive Skorupi that was supposed to be in that area. If he didn't find one now. He was going to call it a burn out and mission failure.

"why is it the rare ones are always in the tough places." Santos growled

As Santos trudged his way. He found a Helioptile basking in the sun.

Santos sighed "well at least someone enjoying this weather."

The helioptile flinched in surprise and ran to hide

Santos sighed "excuse me for disturbing you." He stated and he continued on

As he continued on. He soon found himself being followed by that Helioptile.

Santos gave a lizard pokemon a stern look "what do you want."

Helioptile cowered sightly as if he was expecting an attack but when Santos didn't attack him. He slowly came up

Santos sighed "look I'm baking out here, so unless you want a fight, I'm taking off." He pulled out a pokeball "Hope!" He called out

His Kirila appeared "Yes Santos?" She chirped telepathically

Santos sighed "I need a teleport out of here..."

Kirila gave a gentle smile to her trainer "sun too much for you?" She asked

"yeah... can't handle the heat..."

Kirila giggled "maybe next time you should go during the night time." She suggested

Santos blinked at the statement then his eyes narrowed "now why didn't I think of that in the first place."

Kirila giggled "I don't know."

Santos sighed "maybe I will have better luck at night." He muttered "anyways I'm beat and burned, get me out of here."

Kirila hummed as she nodded and the two seemingly teleported back into the city

Santos sighed "Thanks Hope." He stated

"uh... Santos. You got something on your leg."

Clinging to him was the Helioptile. It had been caught by the teleport by going against Santos

Santos sighed "really..." He muttered

The Helioptile made a whine like noise

"he wants to be strong but he's so alone, Santos and scared." Hope stated "he doesn't know who or what to trust."

Santos blinked "alone, scared and doesn't know who to trust..." He hummed "well I know what that is like."

Helioptile looked at him

Santos hummed "come on..."
