Well, this place was pretty. A bit more gentle than what she was used to by now, but that was fine. Toni could use the break after climbing mountains and exploring ruins. Besides, it seemed nice here, and that meant there might be a good population of Pokemon to pick from.

The Mana student wandered the field a while, eventually coming upon a lake. She sat down at the edge and stared into the water, listening for anything that might be lurking nearby. IT shouldn’t be too long before she met her new companion, right? Not in a colorful place like this, and not when she seemed to have stumbled across the garden’s primary water source.

Something floated on the breeze. At first, she thought it was a random flower petal, but as it got closer it seemed a bit too big for that. In fact, it seemed like it was a whole flower. How weird…

Then it got closer, and she could see the tiny Pokemon attached to the flower. That was…a Flabebe, wasn’t it? Oh wow…they’re so tiny! Really cute, too. Maybe it’d be a good contest Pokemon? At the very least, she could use a new species for her breeding emblems, and it’d probably make a very nice companion…

Moving slowly and carefully, she released Tourmaline from her Pokeball and gestured at the flower. “What do you think? New friend material?”

The Ralts stared at the flower a moment, and then approached it. It seemed to dance around her a bit, and Toni smiled as Tourmaline seemed to dance along. She watched the two fairies for a while, as they danced around each other and the flowers. It was tempting to join in, but…no. What if someone saw her?

Eventually, the Ralts and Flabebe made their way to her, and she smiled at the two. “It’s nice to meet you, Flabebe. How would you like to join us?”

The Flabebe twirled around her and she giggled, taking that as a “yes”. She tossed an empty pokeball at it and waited for the ball to wiggle around and fall still. Then she stood, collected her new friend, and headed back to the dorm with Tourmaline following close behind.
