Personality: Jack is fairly hot-headed and can be intimidating. But once you figure out that he's really not that bad a guy, you might even become friends. He likes to train his team and is often seen making "rounds" on his motorcycle, encouraging Flash, Sol, and Ken to keep up. He loves to have fun, but when something doesn't go his way, he usually grows silent and broods. His battle style tends to be flashy and over-the-top. If he has an audience during his battles, he will begin to entertain them. He can be found at the Dojo every chance he gets, even though it's only an hour or so every other week. Although he can get fairly good meals in the Cafeteria, he prefers to eat cup ramen. There are a few theories, but his reasons still aren't known.

History: Jack was born in the Johto Region, but his family moved to Harmonia Island shortly after. His brother had attended Gray Haven Academy at one point, and he did okay, but pretty much gave up on training after graduation.
Although they were concerned, Jack's family let his brother go his own path, even though it led him back to Johto. In order to ensure that Jack stayed in training, his parents gave him a pair of dog-like Pokémon that seemed like they would be easy to train for a child. The pair seemed loyal enough to the 10-year-old.
He started the Academy with a Houndour he named Flash and an Absol he named Sol, placing him in the Mana Dorm. Although he was surrounded by Ghost-, Dark-, and Psychic-types, he grew to love Fire- and Dragon-types above all else. Many trips to the Academy's Edge and Dragons' Den yielded a Dratini, a Torchic, an Aron, and a Bagon. After the Torchic had fully evolved into Blazekin, he decided to breed him. His first attempt was with a female Lucario. Since the other trainer didn't want another Riolu, Jack thanked her and claimed the egg as his own. Through other breeding attempts and several trades, he somehow ended up with a Ralts. Although he isn't particularly fond of Fairy-types, he decided to keep him anyway since a Telepathic Pokémon might come in handy someday.
After graduating, Jack spoke with the Headmaster about getting a job at the Academy. Jack's grades weren't nearly good enough for him to teach others. He knew little about cooking or medicine, and the library was too boring for Jack. But with his six-foot, slightly muscular frame, the Headmaster offered him a Security Position.
He doesn't talk to many of the students from his time at the Academy. Mostly because they've gone back into the rest of the world to train more Pokémon or to spread their knowledge around.
