This place would never be a favorite of hers, but she couldn’t make a career out of Pokemon training without venturing into a few unpleasant areas from time to time. Besides. Chances were good she’d find something she didn’t have here. That would make it worth it, right?

She hoped so.

Toni wandered along the path, her Sandile Andesine close behind. It was a comfort to have him there…she just hoped he’d behave himself for this. He wasn’t a bad Pokemon, deep down, but he had a long way to go before he could be considered anywhere near as tamed as the other members of her main party. Perhaps this trip had been overdue…

She’d consider that later. She needed to keep focused. Toni looked around, trying to spot a Pokemon – any Pokemon – in the surrounding area.

Andesine saw the Pokemon before she did, and he charged right for it, Thrashing around as soon as he was in range. The Pokemon – a Gulpin – let out a pained cry and retaliated by Yawning at the Sandile, causing him to Yawn in return.

Uh-oh… Toni watched as Andesine continued Thrashing. His movements were getting sluggish, and the Gulpin easily hit him with a Sludge Bomb right before he fell asleep. Toni tossed an empty pokeball at the Gulpin, hoping to end this whole encounter before anything really nasty happened. As she watched, the pokeball shook and rolled around, and she thought the Gulpin might escape.

Fortunately, that didn’t happen. After a short while, the pokeball fell still. She returned Andesine to his own pokeball, collected her new catch, and headed back home to enjoy the rest of her week.
