Personality: Stielen is flamboyant, unorthodox and unpredictable. He is an alpha male with a giant ego and constantly reminds his opponents about his greatness. While he can be brash, egotistical, and arrogant at times, his heart is pure. He is generally kind, friendly, a good person, and very easygoing. He never backs down from a battle no matter how difficult it looks.

He believes in honor, hard work, endurance, and discipline. He always gives his opponents the utmost respect. He is also a worrywart when it comes to his family, nearly missing a major tournament because he didn't want to leave his wife, Elizabeth, 8 months into her pregnancy, and only entered when she assured him she'd be fine.

History: Stielan was born to a Pokémon Trainer father and a successful Breeder/Coordinator mother. So saying that Stielan grew up around Pokémon would be an understatement. His father ran a Center that helped aspiring Trainers learn about Pokémon. His mother often spent months at a time away from home, entering Contest after Contest. While she was away, it was Stielan's responsibility to care for the young Pokémon.

Because his mother sold or gifted the Pokémon to others, Stielan quickly learned how to not get attached to them. However, at ten, his parents gave him a choice. He could go out and adventure, go to a Pokémon-based school, learn the "joys" of Coordination and Breeding, or continue caring for the hatchlings.

Although he knew that caring for the hatchlings was by far the safest choice of the three, he decided to attend the Academy. Happy with his choice, his parents took the role of Professor Rowan. They offered him the choice between all the base Pokémon native to Sinnoh. Choosing Chimchar and Riolu, he sets out.

A few months later, he meets Elizabeth. Chimchar was already a Monferno, and Stielan had caught several Pokémon. Elizabeth was just starting out at Gray Haven. The two start spending more time together and before long a relationship develops. In order to keep in shape, Stielan took up Martial Arts. By 17, he and Elizabeth were training their teams for their last badges.

At 20, Stielan married Elizabeth and soon had a daughter, Elise. They moved back to Sinnoh for a couple years to help out his parents' businesses. The plan was for Elise to take up Stielan's old job when she was old enough.

When they heard that Gray Haven had openings available, he quickly looked into it. He filled out the application and got the job. He, Elizabeth, and Elise soon settled in. Stielan decided to stick to his roots, picking only Pokémon that were found in Sinnoh. With him being a Bolt Warden, his choices were easily narrowed down. Those that didn't make it into his Team were left in the care of friends and family.
