[Seth Silvester]

Seth's scar ached as he walked through the weathered graves, his footfall the only sound in the quiet night. He was out here for two reasons and one pained him more than the other. The first was to start collecting another team of pokemon he wished to train outside of the ones he raised for Challenges. The second, the more personal reason, was to visit the grave of his deceased Venomoth. The grave was easy to find, he never went long without visiting it, and soon Seth was sitting on the dirt, talking to Coeus like the Venomoth was still alive.

He'd only been there for twenty minutes or so when he heard something approach...

No pokemon preference though maybe not another Zubat line haha

Something rotten permeated the air as Seth's nose scrunched from the odor. It didn't smell like death, though that would have been fitting for such a place, but it smelled off. Dirty? Like sewage? Like when a group of boys flooded the second dorm's toilet. Like, Seth hissed, "Garbage." Seth stood quickly as the wild Trubbish waddled into the cemetery, its body leaking trash onto the damp ground.

No, no. This wouldn't do. Seth wouldn't have his first new partner in many years be this, be a pile of trash. Nor would he let his old friend's grave be polluted by the Trubbish's natural (or unnatural) body. The smell alone made Seth's skin crawl. The Trubbish, as if sensing Seth's hostility, growled at him, its arms flailing by its side.

"Enough. Amyr, if you would."

A flash of red pieced the evening sky as Seth released his Nidorino into the world. The Trubbish, wasting no time, rushed instantly at Amyr, attacking with its whole body. Amyr took the impact, grunting as Seth stepped in front of his old pokemon's grave, protecting it with his own body if need be. "Are you okay, Amyr?" he questioned, concern clear in his voice.

The Nidorino nodded, huffing off the injury as it snorted at the Trubbish. "Good, Focus Energy. Compose yourself," Seth directed, watching as the Trubbish circled around Amyr, trying to get to Seth. "Now! Horn Attack!" Amyr rammed into the other pokemon, stabbing it with his horn over and over and over again. The Trubbish cried out and backed away.

It was close to fainting, but something flashed in the Trabbish's eyes.

Seth knew what it was.

"Amyr, back!" Seth cried, recalling his Nidorino as he jumped behind the headstone he once protected. There was a blast as the Trubbish used Explosion and dirt flung into the air. Seth could feel the impact against the tombstone but none of it reached him. Coeus protected him even from the grave.

Seth whispered a thank you and left.
