In order to find out what other types of Moves Nibble can use, Charles puts on his shades and heads out to the Blazed Sands. Although the desert was basically a wasteland, there were many Pokémon that Charles probably hadn't seen yet. Maybe there was one out there that would give Nibble enough of a challenge to draw out more than the Moves Charles already knew about.

Suddenly, the sand below them started to form a sink hole. "What the hell?" At the bottom, Charles could see an orange maw snapping at him. "Alright, Nibble! Looks like it's your time to shine!" He throws out Nibble's Pokéball, which bounces off the Trapinch before letting Nibble out.

"Gible!" The tiny land shark began to "swim" through the sand like a shark in water, circling her ant lion prey. She "sank" below the surface of the sand.

"Trapinch." The ant lion lifts its over-sized head and slams it into the side of the pit, opening up a large crack in the ground under the sand. Gible jumps out of the sand from underneath the foe, digging it deeper into the shifting sands. The Trapinch opens its jaws and Bites the hell out of Nibble.

Nearly unfazed, Nibble swims circles around the foe, quickly outpacing them. The little bug becomes trapped in the sand, but decides to Bide its time, waiting for Nibble to get within range again. From within the sand, a blue sphere speeds towards the trapped foe. Within seconds, another one hits its mark. Right after, Nibble comes bursting out of the sand, seemingly injured. "What was that? It didn't even touch you, did it?"

Nibble glows a silvery white and charges the trapped insect. "Iron Head, right?" To Charles, it seemed like most of his Pokémon knew how to fight by instinct. What did they need him for? The Trapinch manages to free himself from the sand. "Wait, Sand Tomb? Nibble! Use Sand Tomb again!" The Trapinch opens another crack in the ground, but misses Nibble again. Following Charles' command, Nibble swims circles around the Trapinch again, but the foe Bites her before the attack was finished.

"Try Dragon Pulse again!" Another blue sphere bull's-eyed the Trapinch, but it seemed to do even more damage than normal. "Hold up, Nibble! I'm going to add it to our team." He pulls out a Pokéball and tosses it at the severely weakened foe.

With a successful catch, Nibble pops out of the sand nearby. She looked like she was exhausted and in pain. Next thing Charles knew, Nibble was glowing bright white. I different white than Iron Head. Nibble began to grow, stopping at about twice her original height. The glow faded away, leaving a more shark-like Pokémon behind with normal-sized arms. "Gaaaabite!"
