It was a new week, and that meant there was a chance his luck was better. At least, that was his hope. Luke wandered into the old power plant, accompanied by Leaf and Stripe. Leaf was here for the training – with his two starters fully evolved it was time to start work on the rest of his team – while Stripe was here to help him find what he was looking for.

He made his way through the plant, keeping his Pokemon close. Electric types tended to be fast, so he wanted to make sure he was prepared to handle them as soon as one confronted him. As he walked, he thought he saw something up ahead and to the left. He changed direction, heading toward it. It was hard to see in this place… It could be a random bit of building or machinery, but it could just as easily be a Pokemon.

Finally, his quest was over. He’d seen the pictures in his research, and knew that the Pokemon floating before him was the one he’d been searching for. It was about time! But…really…he was just grateful it had appeared at all.

He looked down at Leaf, who was staring curiously at the Tynamo. “Befriend it, battle it, or whatever you want.”

The Snivy stared at him a moment, and then took a few steps toward the Tynamo. The Tynamo watched him for a moment, and then floated closer to Leaf’s level. The two exchanged noises – repeated syllables of their species names – and then started dancing around each other. A moment later, Stripe joined in, and he saw down to watch. He wasn’t sure what to make of this, but whatever the Pokemon decided to do was fine as long as it ended up with the Tynamo joining his team.

The trio of Pokemon danced and played for a while, approaching Luke only when they were done with their game. He gave each a nod and then tossed an empty pokeball at the Tynamo. As usual, it wobbed a bit and then came to a stop. He picked up the ball, let the Pokemon out so it could be with its new friends for a bit longer, and led his team back home for the day.
