Toni would be lying if she said she wasn’t nervous about this whole event – festivals meant way too many people, and all the noise and movement that went with a massive crowd. She liked being helpful, though, and that led her to sign up.

At least she had some of her primary team with her. She’d been advised to bring a Pokemon or three with her – species that could help put things together or who could work as crowd control. She didn’t think she had anything intimidating enough to keep people out of her way, so her helpers for the day were Moonstone, Tourmaline, and Fluorite. The Braixen and Kirlia were human-shaped enough to help her set things up, while the Noibat would be useful lifting or retrieving things higher than she could reach.

Toni arrived at the designated spot on the pier and looked around. She wasn’t the first, was she? She hoped not…she’d have no idea where to start!

Finley had been looking forward to this. It was the spring festival; the celebration of the end of winter and the beginning of warmth - not that, as he had found since moving here, there was much of a “winter” here. Regardless, helping set up such a fest was right up his alley. Organized? Check. Leaderly? He liked to think he was. Pokemon who could put stuff together? He had several with hands, so check. Pokemon who could keep people out of their way? Brian had recently evolved into a primeape, and it was almost comical the reactions the actually quite gentle and and introspective ape was getting.

Finley strolled through the beginnings of the festival, feeling quite jovial in his light blue sweater vest. Brian paced along behind him and Riparian and Scraggy waited in their pokeballs. His eyes searched the other people about for those who would be his teammates for this operation, and on locating the first one, gave her a wave.

“Hey!” He greeted his fellow student as he trotted over. Though he felt like he recognized her face, he didn’t think he had her name. Hand expected, he decided to introduce himself, in case the same held true for her. “I’m Finley. Let’s get this festival started!”

Samuel was not especially organised, and nor was he a natural at leading. What he was was hard-working and determined, and they were pretty much the only positive traits he had that would help him with this particular event.

A festival sounded like fun. He had never been to one before, and he was excited to find out just how they were set up. Crowds, games, the great outdoors? Sign him up! It was a thousand times better than sitting in his dorm doing nothing, which was just about the only other option open to him at the moment.

He had thought carefully over the Pokémon to bring with him. Sadly he had few that were actually able to construct anything, so he had brought along Cinders, his Espurr, for that- hopefully her psychic abilities would be able to lift things, or something. Flit, his Taillow, would be able to fly up with some banners or something. As for keeping people out of his way, Midnight, the Zorua that was currently following him would be ideal, provided he could convince her to copy an appropriate Pokémon.

On second thoughts, maybe his Houndoom or Absol would have been a better choice. Midnight tended to go for small, cute Pokémon more likely to draw people in than keep them out of the way. But it was too late to change his mind now- he was already at the pier, and unsurprisingly he seemed to be the last one there. Of course he was. He had spent too long deliberating over which Pokémon to take- he was bound to be late, even if he had ran all the way there from school!

"Hey guys," he panted. He recognised Finley easily- and half-wished he had brought Hunter and Riki to show off the fact his Pokémon had evolved after their battle- but while he was pretty certain he had seen the girl around, he couldn't recall actually talking with her. Or had they, and he had just forgotten? "Sorry I'm late."

As you students come in, you seem to notice that there’s only a few people around trying to set things however a rather flustered woman in a professional outfit is holding a clipboard and is going from place to place trying to do what she can to help who she can. She then notices you three and gets a look of relief as she comes towards you

“oh good you’re here.” She stated with a relieved tone “I was starting to worry we wouldn’t have everything setup in time for the festival. I’m Miss Ann Harrah, and I’m in charge of making sure everything is setup but unfortunately some of our workers got sick and couldn’t come in. So I’ve been working hard myself to try and pull things together but we need more help. I have to ask for you three to help us setup various areas. It should be pretty simple all you have to do is go over to where someone needs help and help them out. There shouldn’t be any difficulties just go over to wherever you think you can help and help out.” She handed a list of the locations that were being setup and what they needed to be finished

Contest Way (Contest Stage) – Decorations, general stage setup, wardrobe.

“I just put some over there five minutes ago.” Ann replied
“well where you put them because I don’t see them.”
Ann sighed “excuse me.” She quickly walked off “they should be right next to your tool chest!” She called
“still don’t see them.”
“that’s odd, where could they have gotten off to. Oh never mind I’ll find you some more”

Okay players here’s how things are gonna work. You post something that details how you’re going to help setup things. The more detailed you are the better then at the bottom of your post roll a dice of 1 to 20. Once everyone has a post and dice roll it will be time for me to roll and depending on my roll something might just happen to make things a little interesting.

Fortunately, it didn’t take long for another student to approach. The face was familiar, but she couldn’t recall a name. Perhaps she’d seen him in class? She had the annoying habit of keeping herself to herself, so of course she didn’t know most of her classmate. Most of the names she knew were because other students threw them around. She liked to think she was getting better about that, but it was still hard to approach anyone who wasn’t Lilith. She could be friendly enough, but generally someone else had to make the first move.

The boy waved, and she waved back, dipping her head at his greeting. “Hello.” He introduced himself, and she smiled. “I’m Toni. Nice to meet you.”

The boy was eager to get things started, but then another student approached them. Another helper? She dipped her head in greeting to him as well. The more hands there were between them, the easier this would be. He apologized for his lateness, but she shook her head. So far as she knew, they weren’t being kept on a very strict schedule, anyway, as long as they arrived in time to get things done before dark.

Was this everyone? She looked around, frowning at how empty the place seemed. She would have thought there’d be loads of people helping to put things together. But then a woman that seemed to be in charge approached them, introducing herself and explaining that some of their workers couldn’t make it. She listened as the woman went on, stating their job for the day and showing them a list of places that could use some help. She then thanked them before being distracted by someone nearby needing help.

While the woman and the worker talked, Toni looked over the list. There were three places that needed their attention – perfect because there were three of them. She studied her choices, glancing at her Pokemon from time to time. She had two sets of hands that could also use psychic powers and a set of wings that could reach things the others couldn’t. The team would do well no matter which area she took, but she wasn’t confident at all in her ability to properly set up a contest stage or games. That left one area she still wasn’t that confident about, but how hard could it be to set up booths and put things in order?

“I think…I might be best suited for Crafty Lane,” she decided out loud, letting her companions and her team know where they’d be headed.

With that decided, she’d walk around until she actually found the place and put her Pokemon to work. Fluorite would hold up banners, lanterns, streamers, and other such decorations for taller workers to secure and otherwise help with placing decorations that were too high up for the young girl and her second-stage Pokemon to reach. Moonstone and Tourmaline would help her put the booths together, holding things steady until she could secure them in place as needed. When their help was no longer needed for booths, they would help organize and place decorations around the booths while Toni helped to organize and place merchandise out for display, trying to arrange the various wares in the most appealing way possible.

Samuel smiled briefly as the Mana girl shook her head at him, guessing the reason. But before he could say anything more, a woman had approached them and began to explain their jobs. Contests, Arcade or Crafts? Well, the Mana girl had already claimed Crafts, so that was out- not that Samuel was any good with that anyway. Contests weren't his thing either, not really. "I'll take the Arcade Alley," Samuel decided.

He hurried over to the place he had chosen, sending out Flit and Cinders as he arrived. First, he ordered Midnight to choose something scary to copy. It took some convincing, in which Midnight went from Skitty to Pichu to Happiny, before they finally settled on having her imitating an Arcanine, which she seemed to consider a compromise. Whilst she marched around keeping any curious onlookers at bay, Samuel told Flit to start flying up to help put up banners and advertisements for the various games, with Cinders using her psychic powers to secure them once they were in place. Whilst they did that, Samuel began setting up the actual games themselves. At times he had to pause and check the instructions on setting them up- he had never done such a thing before, and had rarely been able to even play games at home, other than outdoor games that required little to no set up- but despite the occasional groan of annoyance, he managed with each one, eventually getting to the testing stage. Once he was satisfied they were all working in what he deemed to be the 'correct' manner, he began to consider setting up the prizes.

For this, he turned again to Cinders for help. The Espurr used her power to lift up the prizes and place them wherever Samuel directed, while Samuel himself rummaged through what prizes they had to decide what was suitable where. Once Flit had finished lifting up the banners, the Taillow began to help with moving the lighter prizes.
