Toni wandered the halls of the manor, her eyes peeled for any sign of movement. Her main team was all with her, each tucked inside their pokeball along with her helpers for the time being. She knew which one she wanted to train today, but the Seel wasn’t as good on land as she was in water, so Toni thought it best to carry her until she was needed.

She thought she saw something move into a nearby room and she raced after it. Would it be the thing she was looking for this time, or would she have to go back to the dorm empty-handed?

There was just a split second where she saw the amorphous blob before an almost identical copy of her stood in her way. That…was a little creepy, but she knew a bit about Ditto and its abilities, so she’d actually been hoping for as much.

She tossed a Pokeball, and Quartz appeared before her. The Ditto changed its shape again, this time appearing as a Seel. This confused Quartz, and she tilted her head from one side to the other, with the Ditto mimicking her movements. Quartz continued to move around, this time just to watch the Ditto copy her. She’d move her head or a flipper or wag her tail, and soon the movements turned into an odd dance.

Toni watched the two Pokemon, wondering if this encounter would need a battle or if Quartz was befriending the Ditto enough for it to agree to join them. Her question was answered a little while later when both Quartz and the Ditto nudged at her legs, urging her toward the manor’s exit. She gave each a pat on the head, returned Quartz to her pokeball, and tossed an empty one at the Ditto. As soon as the capture completed, she retrieved the ball and went on her way.
