Celine ventured on, followed by Luigi. The poor guy was still injured, but he’d be all right. They were sure to find another Pokemon soon, and he’d get to rest in his pokeball once the encounter was finished. She doubted she’d even let him fight in his condition – he’d be able to learn just from watching, so it would be better to use a fully-rested Pokemon.

She wandered for some time before her flashlight caught a glint of color not normally found on the walls. She hurried forward, wondering what it could be. Preferably a wild Pokemon, so they could go ahead and head home.

Yes! There we were! She gestured for Luigi to stay back, but he ignored her, approaching the Shuckle curiously. She frowned, but let him be for now. He did need to be more bold, and she did have other Pokemon if she needed to get them out of a bad situation.

Fortunately, the Shuckle was friendly. It nudged Luigi gently, and then the two started talking. She couldn’t understand what they were saying, but she was content to stand back and wait for the two to decide to be friends or not.

After some time, the conversation ended, and both Pokemon walked to her. She smiled at them and started to lead them back home.
