Courageous: Dylan is an extremely brave young man. Perhaps, a little too courageous for his own well being. He has obtained the ability to face his fears despite all the given obstacles thrown at him. Of course, it was not an easy task for him to overcome his worst fears, but he his strong determination allowed him to strive forward anyway, ignoring the cold chills rushing down his bones and the fear striking at his heart. He would risk his own life to save his loved ones, friends, and his Pokemon.
Overly Confident: Unfortunately, Dylan often appears to be a bit too arrogant at times. He has bad tendencies to display a sense of overbearing self-worth and self importance. In fact, he actually believes that he his Arceus' gift to the world. Especially whenever it comes to the beautiful girls roaming through the world. He does not intentionally try to be a huge jerk all of the time. He often finds himself belittling others in order to make himself feel more important. Surprisingly, he is slightly blinded by his own arrogance. Therefore, he is not aware of this behavior at the moment.

History:
Dylan was born and raised within a city located off of the eastern mainland of the Hoenn Region. The mystical city of Sootopolis. A city that is located deep inside of a crater formed by a massive volcano from many years ago. Dylan was born into an upper, middle class family. His mother worked as a Pokemon nurse and his father worked as a captain for the S.S. Aquamarine. Unfortunately, due to his parents' incredible careers; Dylan was not able to send a lot of time with his parents. However, the young boy did have a caring aunt and older cousin to help raise him. Dylan's aunt worked as a gatekeeper at the Cave of Origin and his cousin worked as a gym trainer at the local gym. He often spent half of his time exploring the ancient cave with his aunt, while she educated him on the city's history. Other times, he would watch his older cousin battle against other trainers visiting the gym. When his cousin was not too busy battling at the gym, he would teach Dylan about raising and training Pokemon in battles. Dylan quickly started to grow interested in learning more Pokemon from that moment on.
After aging and attending school, Dylan's curiosity to learn even more about Pokemon started to grow even more than before. In fact, dreams of becoming a successful trainer quickly started to clash with his academic achievements. Instead of learning about how to use new formulas to solve problems in his math class or reading over his notes for history class, Dylan would doodle pictures of Pokemon, read books about Pokemon and even day dream about someday becoming a Pokemon Master. His teachers soon grew tired of his nonchalant attitude about not wanting to learn anything outside of the Pokemon world as well as his role of being the class clown of the classroom which involved him constantly disrupting classes. It wasn't long before his own parents grew weary of his behavior and decided to home school him. Sadly, his parents attempt to teach their son a lesson ended up to being fail as well. His parents soon stopped fighting their son's urges to learn more about Pokemon. They finally embraced his determination and allowed him to study beside his cousin. His mother taught him many techniques used to heal various Pokemon and his father allowed him to travel with him around the world to research different types of Pokemon. He even taught Dylan about working with various watercraft, which also sparked up a new passion for young teenager. He wanted to learn more about watercraft and possible become a famous captain like his father someday. Time passed again and Dylan found himself growing tired of working along side with his family members and begged them to let him start on his own journey.
It wasn't until Dylan's cousin talked to his parents about enrolling him into Gray's Haven Academy that the parents finally decided to let their child leave their region in order to start his own journey. They believed that it would be best for him to enhance his knowledge about Pokemon with the help of other students and staff members, who shares the same passion as their son shared toward Pokemon.
Dylan was more than excited to start his new adventures at the illustrious academy. However, upon attending his new school Dylan find himself being convinced to join mysterious group of criminal by the name of Team Origin. The criminals promised to teach Dylan how to become an even stronger trainer outside of the academy and how to even use his Pokemon effectively in others ways besides battling with them. It wasn't too difficult for the criminals to persuade him to join due to his growing thirst for knowledge and power. Team Origin were quite interested in having Dylan join their team due to his knowledge and ability to operate various water crafts.
