Still on the hunt, Sophia was wandering about in Magmadyne to find that Skarmory. After all the failures so far, she had to find it sooner or later, right? She had a certain steamy monkey in one of her balls. Now she just needed to find that metallic bird, and then all would be well. Well, not well, but good enough for the time being, she supposed. The young lady sighed. She had probably sweat out a good bit on all her trips to that mountain. Somewhere a little less warm would be great as her next focus point.

Maybe even a little cold?

And there it was, in all its pointy, flappy glory. Sure enough, Sophia finally found a Skarmory. Silk was going to prove very effective against the poor thing. Oh well. She'd take proper care of it after she captured it. Letting out the Larvesta, the girl grinned. After all, she had prepared ahead of time for something like this. Skarmory was really durable when it came to normal, physical blows. Against “special” attacks, though? Not so much.

”Silk, use Flamethrower!” The little bug let out a quiet chirp of sorts before spewing a veil of fire on the bird, literally coating it with fire. With a metallic screech, it swooped in and slashed at the bug for a solid, but altogether manageable blow. ”Again!” Another flurry of fire was unleashed, and the bird was grounded. Whether the ball hit the bird or the bird hit the ground first, though, nobody there could tell.

Either way, Sophia caught it.
