With her new access to the restricted areas, Sophia was quite happy to go exploring in the new areas. As for how she managed to surf to Dark Moon Isle, some things were better left unexplained. At the very least, it required the preparation of an actual travel kit, as opposed to her simple skipping about on Harmonia Island. It was a new and refreshing experience, she supposed. So was changing clothes outside.

Having changed out of the water-resistant clothes she wore for the surf- you have to understand, she anticipated getting soaked- she then wore a simple gray pleated skirt that reached past her knees. On her feet were boots that, despite clearly being designed for rugged use, still managed to look very refined. A maroon shirt was tucked into the skirt, and, just over it, was a short-cut, long-sleeved denim jacket. Her hair, now an obstacle due to the dampness, was tied to the side in a sidetail. All in all, it was a different look for her.

With her water-resistant clothes packed away into a bag that rested against her back, as well as numerous other supplies, the young lady strode forward, balls at her waist. She was pretty excited. What kinds of rare, and powerful, things would she be encountering? It made her heart flutter.

Sure enough, soon after the expedition began, Sophia found herself facing down something that wasn't the typical first-form Pokemon that were all over Harmonia Island. A quick check of her Pokedex verified her theory. What she faced was a Kadabra, the second form of Abra, and a Pokemon of the Human-like egg group. It wasn't what she was looking for, but it was by no means a bad find at all. She released Cotton from his ball, and the Flaaffy wobbled on his feet before staring ahead at the opponent.

”Cotton, use a Discharge!” She ordered, receiving the typical “meh-heh” from the Flaaffy before he projected an arc of electricity forward and at the Kadabra. Two things occurred- first and foremost, the Kadabra was paralyzed by the attack. On top of that, when it tried to attack, the paralysis stocked it in its tracks, effectively cutting off any attempt at offense for that turn.

”Again, Cotton, before it can attack!” A second order and a mildly spirited “meheh” later, and a second, more decisive burst of electricity spurred forward, grounding the Kadabra. A Pokeball soon followed. It was a nice, quick battle. She found something nice, too. They'd head a bit further into the isle, though. So long as they were cautious, there was nothing wrong with it.
