After traveling through Mount Magmadyne doing training, Santos was exhausted and he was sure Swamp was exhausted as well.

"Swamp I think I know what we both need, a visit to the hot springs."

A bit later Santos and Swamp was in the hot springs on the male side just sinking into the hot pools. It seemed he picked a quiet time and he was the only one in the pool which was just fine for him. 

"ah... this is the life eh Swamp, train hard, make a good life for ourselves and enjoy everything we desire."

"Mudkip..." Swamp muttered in an relaxed agreement as he floated along

Tyson had heard about the Hot Springs on Mt. Magmadyne and decided he wanted to go check it out a little bit. Tyson slipped into some swimming trunks and then pulled out a Pokeball and threw it to the ground and out came his Slowpoke, Slowski. Tyson smiled down at him "Wanna go take a dip over at the Hot Springs buddy?" Slowpoke just stood there for a moment motionless with a blank stare on his face. "Slowww." He said as he nodded his head. Great buddy, lets go.

Tyson and Slowpoke made their way up to Mt. Magmadyne and headed over to the Hot Springs. Once there both of them had noticed that there was already someone up here. It seemed to be a older boy with a Mudkip. Tyson smiled as him and Slowpoke walked over to them and smiled "Hey whats up, mind if we join you?" Tyson said as he slowly dipped himself into the water on the other side of the spring. "Ohh, yea that feels good." Tyson said as he looked over at Slowpoke and sat down on the edge and dipped his tail into the water and then after a while slid the rest of himself in and only poked his head out from under the water. "Sloww." He said as he looked at the older boy.

Santos gave the younger boy a slight look with one studying eye but then smirked and made a causal dismissal noise as he relaxed in the pool and closed his eyes and said "it's open to everyone." He stated "as for what's up, just enjoying a nice relaxing dip in the hot springs after a morning of training right Swamp."

"Mudkip." Swamp replied in agreement as he was resting in the hot spring water. It was surprising different then the murky swamp water he called home but he wasn't complaining, the minerals from the spring water were so nice.

[Tyson Halloway]

Tyson smiled at the older boy as he allowed Tyson to relax in in the Hot Spring with him. Tyson turned towards Slowpoke as it gave a slight smirk of enjoyment, he seemed to enjoy the water as well. "Slo...oooww" He said as he dunked his head under the water. Tyson chuckled a bit and then turned towards the boy. "So, what dorm are you a part of? Im a first year Magma Dorm member myself." He said with confidence. "How long you been a part of the Academy?" He asked with curiosity in his voice.

Tyson sat back and relaxed as Slowpoke slowly raised his head above the water and looked at the older boy and opened his mouth. Then he shot some water in his face. "Pokkee." He said with a smile on as Tyson couldn't help but let out a little laugh. "Looks like someone wants to play huh." He said as he rubbed Slowski's head and smiled.

Santos was about to respond when Tyson's Slowpoke sprayed him with water.

Santos sputtered as he growled but then smirked at the word play. "Play? oh I think we know how to do that don't we Swamp."

Swamp dove into the water swam around like a missile then shot out of the water like a geyser casting a wave to tower over Tyson and his Slowpoke and drenched them "Mudkip!" Swamp cheered

Santos snickered as he flicked his hair to the side "as for academy and dorm alliance I used to be of the Mana Dorm but I uh finished my schooling up and now work in town part time. This is one of my days off and as a local resident I get access to everything on the island.

Tyson and Slowpoke were smirking at each other when then both turned towards the older boys Mudkip as he drenched both of them in the water. They both went under and then popped up and laughed. "Woah, your fun man." He said with a smirked as Slowpoke stared at the older boy and then slowly nodded his head "Sloww Pokee" He said. Tyson and Slowpoke then both leaned backwards against the edge to relax in the Hot Springs.

Tyson gave Slowpoke a nice little head rub and then turned towards the older boy. "OH cool, you finished school already." Tyson said with a smile. "Oh, im Tyson by the way. Nice to meet you. And this little guy is Slowski." Tyson said as he pointed towards his Slowpoke. "I can't wait to evolve him. Don't know what route im gonna go tho...Slowbro or Slowking." He said as he looked into the blank eyes of Slowpoke. "Slowwww." Slowpoke said as he went back under the water.

Santos smirked "I'm Santos, Santos Almaz, and that Mudkip over there is Swamp one of those I'm working on training. I hope to eventually get him to his final form Swampert as for what form you should make your Slowpoke, well that's up to your preference, if you like a bit of a dope with a lot of defense, Go Slowbro, if you like someone with a lot more on their mind and can handle special attacks go Slowking. Both can deal special attacks quite well but their thing is that they are S to the Low or Slow. Train him defensively and either pokemon can be a solid member on your team.

Tyson nodded his head as he listened to Santos talk about his Mudkip and on what each of Slowpoke's evolutions are. "Hmm." He thought to himself as he looked it over. "I guess we will just have to wait and see what you wanna turn into, huh buddy?" Tyson said as he looked into his Slowpoke's gaze of motionless and rubbed him on the head. Tyson then turned back towards Santos. "So whats it like to live in the city here? You from around here? I'm from Johto myself. Mahogany Town to be specific." Tyson said with a smirk on his face as he leaned back on the edge of the hot spring and relaxed a bit. "What do you do for work? You look kinda young to be working." He said with a bit of curiosity in his voice as he looked over at Santos and his Mudkip.

Santos hummed as he nodded "yep, born and raised here so I know what everything is like on this island. As for my age, I'm 16, sure you and many others may think that's young for getting a job and some even said I could go another year at the academy and it would be just fine but I thought eh I've learned enough now it's time to apply it to real life and actually feel like doing something with my life that worth something." He smirked when Tyson asked him about his job "I mostly run errands for a research company in town. They give me things to look for/collect or do and I go around to the different locations and do the stuff training my pokemon all along the way. A lot more exciting then spending hours in school and you don't have people hovering over your shoulder making sure you are doing what you are told to do.

Tyson listened on to the older boy as he told him about his life and work. He nodded every now and then as he spoke. "You dont think school is worth anything? I mean you get to learn all about Pokemon and the Pokemon world. Its suppose to help us understand them and how to train them correctly." Tyson said as he turned towards his Slowpoke and gave him a pet on the head. "It helps us learn how to interact with them and to learn from them." Tyson said with a smile as he turned back towards Santos. "So basically your like a errand runner. That doesn't sound that exciting. Picking up and dropping things off. Sounds kinda like a snooze fest." Tyson said with a smirk on his face.

Santos smirked "Pokemon school is good for like the first couple of years when they are actually teaching you things but after say like 3 to 4 years which is how much I've been through, all your hearing is the same stuff over and over and for me that combined with a few other issues I had at the academy in particular I just said I'm done learning and I want to do something else with my life. For the most part I've discovered that I have more time to train my pokemon and make them stronger then I could ever do learning in school and combining that with getting a job to support myself and my pokemon. It makes me feel like I'm actually doing something. Maybe later if I feel like I need to learn more stuff then maybe I'll go back to a different school besides one for pokemon and learn something else but for now I'm just going to do errand jobs and train my pokemon."
