Name: Louis "Luu" Beckett
Age: 16 yrs
Date of Birth: April 13th
Birthplace: Sinnoh
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: "I'm willing to experiment!" (he says with his tongue stuck out playfully - he's probably Bisexual haha)
Face Claim: Urashima Kotetsu [Touken Ranbu]
Appearance:
Luu doesn't really care much for fashion, and so typically wears an aqua blue jacket over his white collared shirt along jeans and rubber shoes. He doesn't typically deviate from this, but sometimes the color of his shirt changes, or maybe there's a bit of design. His jackets always seem to be some shade of blue for some reason though. Also, some strands of his hair are typically tied back to make a small ponytail, but the rest of his hair falls just below his shoulders, often flayed out messily. His skin is on the paler side from spending so much time indoors for most of his life, but perhaps it will start to look a little darker after spending more time in the Wave Dorm.
Distinguishing Features:
There is a choker of sorts around his neck that is made out of white and black cloth, being held together by a thin brown string. That's the only part of his attire that doesn't change throughout. It seems that it's important to him, as he only takes it off when he's taking a shower or sleeping.
Height: 5'4'' ft
Character Type: Origin Spy
Personality:
Growing up with mostly video games and books, Luu often treats his own life and interactions with others as a RPG game. This can make him seem quite eccentric to others, especially when he treats his actions as if he's completing missions. In default, he's very friendly and will try his best to make friends, but when he does something wrong he won't apologize, but look thoughtful ("Ah, so that's how it works?") He also can't really stick with a topic for too long, and is prone to changing it without realizing it. He's quick to follow orders and will never take the leader role unless forced to, but if it's from someone he doesn't see as a leader, he can question them to the point of annoyance and even work against them for fun. He can get really talkative.
Luu happens to be academically inclined and loves puzzles, having always wanted to solve mysteries like what those people do in TV and detective stories. He likes playing with games that test the mind rather than the body, as his very passive and lazy lifestyle in his childhood has hardly given him any sort of stamina to do something physically active.
He hasn't really developed any close relationships with people before, and so opening up can be awkward for him. Nevertheless, it could do him good, so there's no harm in trying to be friends with him. He'll enjoy someone to talk to (for hours if you allow him to).
As for being a Team Origin Spy, well, he actually doesn't take that job very seriously. If given the chance to, he may actually betray them if it seems more "fun" to do so, or if the "missions" he assigns himself in line with this status get too boring. Besides, he doesn't really want to steal Pokemon, but swiping stuff from other people's desks sounds amusing.
Likes:
+ Puzzles and Mysteries
+ RPG games
+ Books and Manuscripts (he really wants to watch a play)
+ Ice cream pops (or ice cream in general, but this is his absolute favorite. Offering this to him is going to make him think you're an angel)
Dislikes:
x Physical activities (like sports, but he's okay with swimming)
x People who ignore him
x Hot weather
x People asking him about his choker (or try to touch it. Please don't)
History:
Luu grew up with a single mother in the bustling life of Jublife City, but he hardly ever left the apartment that they lived in. He doesn't know much about his dad since he never mustered up the courage to ask, and besides, his mom was almost always out until the wee hours of past midnight. Because of this, he almost always had the house to himself, and his mother only gave him one rule: Do not leave it.
It wasn't so hard to follow as he had been given luxuries to make home living much more enjoyable. His time was mostly spent on playing video games, reading, and surfing the net. When the things he played with got old, a friend of his mom's would be there to bring him new things. But of course, all the virtual goodies in the world couldn't stop him from looking out the window and wondering what it's like out there. Sometimes he'd simply get too restless, especially since he was just a boy. His body would rebel against sitting on the floor all day with his game controllers, so there have been times where he did manage to sneak outside.
And then he couldn't quite get enough of it. He'd never leave the city, but there were many times he was so close to. Meeting Pokemon for the first time was, to say the least, exhilarating, but his first Pokemon of his own was actually an abandoned Turtwig in one of the small alleys of Jublife. Luu never knew why the little turtle was all alone, but it (soon he found out to be a she) would follow him as soon as their eyes met, so that was how it happened. He had to hide her whenever his mom came home, and somehow she never really paid attention. In fact, she hardly talked to him. Frankly Luu didn't even know what job she had; it was always orders that came out of her mouth.
Until one day she told him that they were moving to Harmonia Island. He was confused but didn't object, especially when he was told that he was going to be dorming and going to a school. He wasn't quite sure why the school would even take him in since he never formally received education of sorts, but things started to make sense when he realized that he had got in through an underhanded sort of method.
His mom had become a bit more talkative now that they seemed to be in the industry together - if one could call it that. Her previous work had always been questionable (as to what, she shook her head, not wanting to explain in detail), but it was somehow within the realm of where Team Origin somehow took note of her and let her join. This wasn't very long ago, but long enough for her to ensure some sort of standing within Team Origin - at least enough to get her son to become a spy for them. Well, he won't complain. It sounds like a ton of fun to be a spy.
Dorm: Wave Dorm (Spy)
Uniform Color: Blue
Starter Pokemon:
Nickname: Estragon (or Gogo)
Species: Turtwig
Gender: Female
Ability: Overgrow
Moves: Tackle | Razor Leaf | Withdraw | Bite
Notes: Luu had given Gogo her nickname before realizing that the Turtwig was actually a girl, but nevertheless stuck with it. This little turtle seems to be as mischievous and energetic as her owner when it comes to interacting with both humans and Pokemon alike. Because she had been adopted by Luu back while he was still living in Jublife and had been his first Pokemon, the two of them are inseparable. Often one will see Gogo on Luu's shoulder rather than her Poke Ball.
Nickname: Vladimir (or Didi)
Species: Buizel
Gender: Male
Ability: Swift Swim
Moves: Aqua Jet | Aqua Tail | Water Gun | Agility
Notes: Didi joined Luu's team some time after his trainer had moved into Harmonia Island. Needing a Pokemon to enter into the dorm, Gogo had managed to find Didi while he was gathering some berries to eat and challenged him to a battle. Somehow due to the Turtwig's excitement and inexperience (which resulted in a lot of clumsily executed moves), Didi decided that these two needed some serious help and show them how it's done. Needless to say, Didi is the one that tries to stop his trainer and his Turtwig from being such pranksters, and somehow acts like their older brother of sorts.
