[Naveta Lejori]

It was time to go to another inconvenient place, but it was the closest place to the forest thus making going to the Thorn Citadel the next stop in the most efficient way around the island.  The name certainly didn't betray what it looked like.  The formations didn't look natural either.  Given there were pokemon making the plant life here grow impossibly fast it wasn't that surprising that it just looked like an overgrown mess.  Given how artificial it was, she wasn't quite sure if she'd get a whole lot out of exploring this place, but she figured she should at least be aware of the kinds of plants that grew here.  

Moving through the Thorn Citadel was as difficult as its name and the rumors surrounding it made it out to be too.  Sadly, her options for going through it were weaker pokemon that she didn't want to risk, Cirque who would constantly remind her that she had to make up for all this trouble, and Turbidite who was going to make her say please every time she wanted him to cut up some vines, which would be every few seconds in a place like this.  In the end, she decided to go with Turbidite because being overly polite was easier than anything Cirque would want her to do in the end.  The forest was so dense that it was difficult to see anything at all, let alone what kind of life was here.  She was at least able to note that the vegetation was tropical, but given the nature of this island that wasn't exactly surprising.

[Naveta Lejori]

Eventually, the intrepid duo made their way to a clearing with only a few minor cuts from the constantly regrowing thorns. It was actually quite pretty, and quite small. The entire place was surrounded by a dome of thorns that seemed to be crawling around the ground and squirming through the air. The ground itself was covered in flowers of every color, and many of the thorny vines that covered the area also had roses and other flowers blooming on them. She may not end up learning that much about the island's history here given how artificial this place was, but the trip was still worth it anyway. It was places like this that made all the walking around and danger worth it. Even Turbidite, who always seemed to be annoyed when he was by Naveta's side, looked happy for once.

Something on the other side of the field caught Naveta's eye. There was a wild pokemon just staring at them looking rather disgruntled. She couldn't tell if it was angry, or if that's just how it's face was. It could be hard to tell with pokemon sometimes. Well, regardless there was only one thing to do. Turbidite remained relaxed.  It was obvious that he had no intention of fighting unless he got another please out of Naveta, but that was fine by her.  This wasn't his fight anyway.  With one swift motion, she released Strato.  Turbidite looked a little disappointed, but kept his composure as always.

"Strato, Fire Fang."

A huge grin appeared on the tyrunt's face as he charged towards the wild pokemon.  After a moment his jaws began to glow as the fire in his teeth got bigger and bigger.  Naveta was a little concerned given the kind of place they were in, but the flames were localized enough that it shouldn't be an issue.  Strato bit into the wild pokemon and refused to let go.  The accelgore clearly wasn't unconscious yet, but it clearly didn't have the strength to fight anymore.  That was just fine, Strato didn't need anymore chew toys.  With that, Naveta threw a pokeball at it and her team grew once more.  Even if Strato did seem a little sad he couldn't chew on the wild pokemon anymore.
