Post by Leon "Fal" Arkas on Feb 18, 2016 18:47:19 GMT -5
Name: Leon “Fal” Arkas
Age: 16
Date of Birth: 15th of January
Birthplace: Canalave City, Sinnoh for most of it then Mavro city, Orre
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Face Claim: Adam Taurus - RWBY
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features:
During his school hours or when he’s undercover, he usually wears jeans and whatever shirt he decides to. During Team origin missions or whatever, he wears dress pants, dress shoes, a sports jacket and a plain shirt. Most notable about him during this time is his mask which he wears to hide his identity. The mask only covers his upper face, hiding his eyes and forehead.
Height: 6’ 0”
Character Type: Student / Team Origin spy
Personality: Leon has two sides to his character. Being undercover means he would spend a great deal of time at school and with people he wasn’t used to. While he acts kind and generous to those he’s around he only does this to appear “normal” and to not seem suspicious. In truth he’s not. He’s mostly cold and calculating, almost heartless in reality. He has learned, from practice to not let his emotions show and tends to bottle everything up, even when he isn’t undercover. He acts nice to save face and to not draw any reasonable doubt to himself.
He isn’t entirely heartless though as if he considers someone to be a likeable person or a good person he will subtly help them. He hates being called out on his rarely shown good nature. He also hates when people who do him good act as if he owes them. Leon doesn’t like most people as he usually nit-picks at some aspect of them until he dislikes them. If he does look past that and does consider them a friend, or at least someone he can tolerate, he’ll be even kinder to them. Whether this kindness is genuine or not is unsure to even himself as he might be getting to involved in his assignment. He does not like to show it but he also likes pokemon. In general to things he likes, he tends to have a bitter appreciation to them, usually giving them backhanded complements.

History: If you’ve ever been to Canalave city then you know it isn’t the most luxurious town out there. It isn’t the worst either but it was mostly known for its docks. This lacklustre city is where Leon’s story begins. Leon was part of a pair. He and his twin brother Marco were born to a lovely couple. Leon got his red hair from his father while his brother had blue hair, like their mother. Luckily for them this was the case as the two were completely identical otherwise. They even grew at the same rate and liked most of the same things.
By the time they were young both boys would often go out and cause mischief with a few of the other kids who grew up in the area. It started out with simple things; hiding items inside the shops, taking the batteries out of TV remotes, pouring salt into someone’s food when they weren’t looking. Their once harmless pranks escalated though as they began stealing small things from the Pokemarts. Leon was very good at this, he always planned his movements carefully and acted accordingly, while Marco would usually go with the flow. He almost got caught a few times but thanks to his brother he often got saved.
By the time their tenth birthday had come around they were already fully capable thieves. They went as far as planning to rob a pokemon professor who had stopped by town one night. As a precaution, Marco had gotten masks for the boys, just in case anything happened. This was their first pokemon heist so the boys were excited. That night they managed to pull it off perfectly and exactly according to Leon’s plan. Stealing a pokemon from the professor and replacing its ball with an empty one. That pokemon was a Pichu which they would sell.
When asked about the Pokemon the next day the boys simply lied, stating the professor, who had already left that morning, had given them the pokemon. Not completely a lie or unheard of. To not make anybody any more suspicious, the boys decided to tone their antics down a bit, and only go after very small things people wouldn’t miss. However, it was after this point that Leon had begun noticing a change in his twin. His twin seemed to want out of the stealing and everything. Leon wanted to continue but he tried to stop with his brother since it wouldn’t be the same.
A few months after their twelfth birthday their father and mother had decided to move to Orre, wanting a change of scenery. Leon, having gone years without doing what he was best at was beginning to get bitter and resentful. He really didn’t care about the move and was indifferent. Marco however, seemed happy and glad. Leon knew it was just an act and that Marco felt the same way he did but Marco didn’t show it at all. This worried Leon as his brother had become a master at hiding his emotions.
Once the family settled into Mavro City, the boys became anxious. This was far larger than what he and his brother were used to. They slowly fell back into their old habits. Stealing small things every once in a while. Marco had kept a secret from his brother however. At nights, when everyone was asleep, Marco would go out alone and steal pokemon from unsuspecting people and sell them. This went on for a while and Marco had ended up joining Team Origin.
Over the next year, Marco would constantly drop hints at Leon about Team Origin and tried to get him interested. Leon, who had little place for trust in his heart showed no interest and wanted to keep to himself. Marco didn’t give up however and persistently tried to recruit his brother to join their cause. Marco had perfected his fake persona that he wore around others. Leon had not as he did not care much for what others thought of him.
After his fourteenth birthday Leon had gotten in trouble, funnily for a crime he didn’t commit. He was arrested in place of Marco, which was the first time in years anybody ever mixed the two up. This really pissed Leon off and as soon as he saw Marco he let him have it, telling him how reckless and irresponsible he was being and how his actions would drag the entire family into trouble they never needed. Marco felt bad about this and promised to make it up to his brother, sadly that wouldn’t be the case.
See, what Leon didn’t know at the time was that the crime he was brought in for was the fact that Marco had robbed a very dangerous criminal of some of his pokemon. That night, when Leon was sleeping he was awoken by his parents who had grave news for him... Marco was in the hospital, dying.
This was the first time Leon had shown any real emotion in a while aside from his outburst at his brother earlier that day. He lost control and fell into an ocean of depression. Immediately Leon and his family went to the hospital to look for Marco. Marco apologised over and over to his family. When they were finally alone Marco told Leon everything he wanted to know, the name of the man who did it, why he did it, where he was and then he warned Leon not to let him get near his family. It was at that moment that Marco died. Leon swore at that moment that he would get his revenge. He began plotting what he would do that night. It was a bit rushed and not like Leon at all to plan things so hastily.
As he was about to leave the hospital to engage the criminal, he was stopped by a group of people in the lobby. They were all members of Team Origin along with his brother. Leon despised them as it was their fault his brother just died. They took their blame and reassured him that they would carry out their revenge in his brother’s name and to leave everything to them as part of their deal with Marco when he just joined was that if anything happened to him, they would not force Leon to do anything. They warned Leon that going after him that night have been reckless and would most likely ruin their chances. Leon decided to leave it to them... for now.
Over the next few nights Leon would have a recurring nightmare of his brother. After two weeks, and not hearing anything about the criminal Leon decided it was time to take matters into his own hands. Once he began his research he could see why there wasn’t any word. The man had left the region almost immediately after the incident. He would be returning to Mavro City in a few days, more than enough time for Leon to plan everything.
The night the man would return to the city, Leon was more than prepared. The mask Marco wore the night they stole that Pichu all those years ago was Leon’s for the night. Leon made it into the man’s house before he got back. While he was there Leon began taking useless things he didn’t care about and knock over a few things to make the place look like a textbook robbery. As soon as the man got into the house and saw the mess, Leon had already begun beating him with a pipe he carried with him. After a few well-placed strikes the man was on his back begging for mercy. Funny, how the man who killed his brother was now begging him for the mercy he denied his brother. Leon decided however to grant the man that much but took the pokemon his brother had come for in the first place.
On his way out of the building he saw the Team Origin members who had confronted him at the hospital. They didn’t recognize it was him at first because of the mask but after he took it off they confronted him. He explained to them what he had done and they were impressed. They told him that out of respect, they would allow him to keep the pokemon they were supposed to take from the man, a baby zorua. They offered him a place among them as a Team Origin member and instead of a straight out reply Leon only told them he’d think about it.
The next day, Leon slept peacefully, no nightmares or anything. From that day forward to most people he was the very generous, kind and caring Leon most people know him as. But it was also that day he Joined Team Origin under the guise Agent “Fal”. He got assigned as a Spy to the Gray Haven Academy’s Wave dorm and was given a Croagunk to use as his dorm Pokemon.
