Jaxson is a rather quiet individual that often keeps to himself. Growing up in Virbank, a lot of people were distrustful of one another, and so he didn't have too many opportunities to make friends. Jaxson can often be found reading a book or the like, and he tends not to talk unless coaxed, which may make him seem non-approachable. It had given him that type of reputation around school at the very least. Jaxson is very guarded, and as such he has a tough time bringing himself to trust others when he grew up surrounded by such distrust and negativity, which eventually caused him to become distrustful of others as well. He has a hard time understanding affection and as such is fairly oblivious , a warning to those who might be seeking his attention. He is also a bit harsh when it comes right down to it, he often says what he is thinking and it's often not what people want to hear.
But despite all his faults, there are a few good things about Jaxson as well. For one thing, he is Honest, and you don't often expect a lie to fall from his lips in particular. He is Loyal as a friend and though even as a friend his brutal honesty may insult you, he does it more to protect you than to harm you. He is very observant and often notices things before others, be aware this makes it much harder to lie to his face when he's reading your body language. He is also Passionate about everything he does, so expect him to be Serious when it comes to accomplishing things. Believe it or not among friends, he even has a bit of a humorous quality to him.

History: Jax was born in Virbank City, though his parents died in a boating accident that left him in the care of his uncle and aunt, and his Childhood was a bit rocky because many of the adults felt there was reason to distrust each other, and as such they didn't often let their children hang out together. Because of this, Jaxon spent a lot of time alone, sitting against the fence in his backyard reading various books. He didn't really come to learn what a friendship was, and in the future it would prove to be a thing for him that was still true. But he did learn more about companionship when he was ten, and he met a Drifloon caught on the fence in their backyard. He had freed it from the bind and taken it inside.
But when it came time to release it, the Drifloon wouldn't leave. Instead, it would follow him wherever he went, and he would save it by grabbing onto its stringlike appendages whenever it would get pulled by the wind. Eventually, his aunt captured it in a Pokeball and gave it to him as a birthday gift. and he named it Heretic. The Drifloon was a great companion, but it only served to separate him further from the other children as he started to train with her, alone.
And when he got even older, he grew bored of the life in Virbank and wished to go elsewhere. He wanted to see the world, travel, but his Uncle, his guardian was against it. And being the drunk he was he ordered his Persian to shut Jax up when he tried to argue his point. and it scratched him so hard he ended up in the hospital for stitches. It was then that his aunt decided it would be best to send him to Academy, because that way he wasn't roaming the world as his Uncle had such an issue with, but he would no longer be in Virbank either.
