Jason had always had a sort of odd fascination with life on solid ground -- of how the earth to mold it self into different shapes and sizes, creating odd terrain through only a small portion of land mass. The young teen had become so enamored with the water in his youth, he often forgot the beauty of the land -- or in this case, the extremity.
Carefully the teenager scaled the Mountain, a sense of uneasiness wavering over him; although inactive for many a year, it still made him uncomfortable to think that it could potentially erupt -- especially if a large Pokemon such as an Aggron or a Tyranitar wandered through the area. The young teen had to reassure himself a few times over that that was highly unlikely to occur.
"Hey Artemis," called the brunette to the bouncing figure ahead of him, "keep an eye out! I'm not really in a mood to be surprised at the moment."
"Fro? Kie!" The small, frog-like creature paused on a nearby rock, cheeks inflating in a show of annoyance before the small frog pressed on.
Some rocks shook beneath the small frog's weight, and on more than once occurrence the trainer was sure that the small frog was going to slip and fall, or worse. While Jason enjoyed his time outdoors, exploring all he could, heights tended to get to him rather easily. He was more a man of the sea -- he enjoyed surfing, not heights. Granted, he could fly around on a Pokemon without much trouble -- but then again, they were more often than not predictable, so long as they were yours.
The sun began to rise higher in the nearly cloudless sky as the duo trekked on -- Jason partly not willing to return back to return to his dorm just yet, and Artemis not willing to call training quits, either. Perhaps next time, they would plan a better trip.
