"Hmm...." Christina mumbled as she stared at the book in front of her. She had been in the library for hours already and showed no signs of moving anytime soon. Poli was also staring at the book from her shoulder, though her expression was more happy looking than Christina's. Whether or not the Poliwag could read was a different matter all together. Possibly merited further study at a later time. An interesting research topic at the very least. How would one go about testing-
Christina then heard a yawn that broke her concentration and brought her back from that tangent of thoughts. Puma was by her feet, curled up looking bored. She was probably about to take a nap. No matter, Christina would entertain the Eevee when she was finished here. She reached down and petted the pokemon's head. "Almost done for today, just a bit longer," she whispered to Puma. Puma sighed in response. She knew that "almost done" didn't mean done anytime soon.
Christina then brought her attention back to the book she was currently looking at. The table she was at was littered with dozens more, some she had already read through. Others she was about to get to. She had decided if she was going to be at this academy, then she would start looking up its history as well as the history of Harmonia Island. After all, the landscapes on the island were all fairly unique. She wondered what circumstances came about to create those landscapes, as well as how such a variety of pokemon came to inhabit those areas. Christina had gotten very absorbed in learning about this topic today, as she did with most topics she ended up researching. If there were other people around, she surely didn't notice them at the moment.
Soon, the passage she was reading made a reference to another book. Needing more answers than the current book was providing, she looked at the other ones scattered on the table to see if it was there. It wasn't. Christina sighed. That meant she had to go searching for it now. She got up from her chair, stretched out a little bit, and then began searching bookcases for the book. Hopefully, this search would be short so she could go back to learning the topic at hand.
