[Naveta Lejori]

Naveta knew that some parts of this island weren't entirely natural, and while it showed in some places already she was still pretending like everything was 100% natural as she explored.  It meant that she couldn't just slack off and say THAT thing was obviously not naturally here and ignore it, and it was important that she figure out how all the pieces fit together too.  She was just dealing with a puzzle that had a few extra pieces.  When she came to the Vanilla Peaks though, a lot of that was thrown out the window.  Sure, she would still pretend like this could somehow be natural, but it was pretty hard to do so.  She still couldn't get over there being a second mountain range on a volcanic island of all things.  Islands like this were normally made by layers of lava piling up on each other until the landmass was taller than the water was deep.  Sometimes, if two underwater volcanoes were close to each other they could form an island with two peaks, but that was about it.  Further making this strange was how this range didn't appear to be volcanic at all.  Right now, it just looked like a huge mountain range sprung out of nowhere.  It would probably take her awhile to fully explore this place, but for now she was just checking out its basic composition.  Anything more would probably just make her head hurt.

[Naveta Lejori]

While passing some interesting looking formations in the side of the cave, Cirque decided to come out of her pokeball and look at them too.  Naveta didn't see anything particularly special about them, they were obviously formed by water running down the side of the cave wall, she did have to admit that they looked pretty cool and she wasn't surprised that someone with less knowledge about where they came from would find them interesting to look at.  There was nothing serious happening, so there was no reason not to let the little Zorua walk around for awhile.  She seemed content to follow Naveta around while she explored, only slowing her down a little bit to look at interesting formations.

As she went deeper into the caverns, she came across a pokemon giving itself a bath in one of the pools of water that collected in the caves.  As always, she figured she might as well catch it, but before she could even give a command, Cirque began crying.  Naveta was concerned for about half a second until she remembered that Cirque always did this when she encountered pokemon.  Or people for that matter.  It was an effective way to make people let their guard down so she could more easily take them out, so she was pretty sure that Cirque wasn't actually sad here.  The pokemon looked up and frowned.  Clearly concerned, it started to make its way to the Zorua to make sure it was okay.  Naveta waited a moment for it to get out of the water and fairly close to where they were standing.

"Good work, hit it with Night Daze."

A ball of pure darkness started forming in front of Cirque's open mouth, and once it was a little bigger than its head, she launched it at the other pokemon.  Surprised, the other pokemon was knocked onto its back, and it was clearly having trouble seeing.  That should do.  Naveta quickly grabbed a pokeball to throw at it, and after a moment's wait it was hers.  She gave Cirque a quick pat on the head for a job well done and continued their explorations.
