This is simply a quick run-down of how Missions will work. They will be posted in separate threads, and, unless specified otherwise, will usually be open students or Origin members only. Missions will be labeled whether they are for students or Origin members.
1) Missions come in a wide array of difficulty levels ranging from Easy to Hard. Harder missions have better rewards, but they will generally have requirements preventing brand new students from simply jumping into them. This is not only for the safety of those students, but to make it fair for those who can actually take these missions.
2) Missions are first-come-first-served. The first few people to post in the thread will be the ones who get the mission. Generally missions will allow 2-3 people each unless otherwise stated.
3) There are two types of missions. Missions that are posted at the Academy's mission board, and missions posted at the Origin Hideout. Naturally, only students may take missions from the school's mission board. Likewise, Origin missions are for Origin members. For the sake of simplicity, all missions are posted here and tagged appropriately. (Student/Origin)
4) Each member is only allowed to take one mission at a time. The only exception is that if a mission would start without filling you may put an alt that is not in a mission currently in that mission. You may not have two of your own characters in one mission. Admins will announce when people can start doing that in the mission thread.
5) Only the characters who took the mission and the mod taking care of said mission may post in a Mission Thread. Other than that, no one else may post in it. Furthermore, each entrant in the mission needs to list their whole active team in their first post.
6) All participants have a three day period to post before the next round in the mission starts. (Please note that posting order does not matter, so you don't have to wait on fellow participants.) Participants that fail to post in that time will be dropped from the mission, and the difficulty will be adjusted to accommodate the remaining characters. If you end up dropped from a mission, you must wait three days before re-applying for it.
7) You are limited to capturing one Pokemon per mission aside from any mission goals that may require you to catch one.
8) Exp Points work differently in missions. Regardless of trainers or Pokemon fought in the thread, you will receive a set amount of Exp Points at the end of the mission. Nothing else in the mission gives Exp. This number will be given in the mission description and can be distributed to the Pokemon used in the mission however the trainer wants.
9) Simply make a post under the mission stating you wish to take it. After you have been approved by staff, simply start the mission thread at the correct place and then link that back to its mission board post. You may only post once for each round in the mission.
10) Once you complete a mission, there's a countdown before you can jump into another mission. For the character used, you must wait seven days. Should you have an alternate character, you only need to wait three days before using the alt.
