Name: Shane Alexander Norwood
Age: Sixteen
Date of Birth: August 17th
Birthplace: Vermilion City, Kanto
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Noel Kreiss - Final Fantasy
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features: Two piercings in both ears, though he tends to not wear any earrings during school hours.
Height: 5 feet, 9 inches.
Character Type: Student
Personality:
Upon getting to know Shane, it would be clear to see that he is a rather openly interactive human being. He's fairly relaxed and vigoursly expressing goodwill and compassion to his Pokemon as well as other people, even willing to sympathize if need be. The boy has no qualms with taking the initiative in a converstation. Well-spoken and idealistic, he'll do what he can to convince you that you can confide in him. Although he'd rather avoid unneccesary scuffles by any means, he is a tactful, analytical, and devilishly clever young man. He'll try anything to make the most out of a situation, whether it be in a battle or otherwise.
While Shane may sport a calm mind for the most part, there may be times where his judgment becomes clouded by emotions. Considering this, he is prone to instinctively act without much of a thought sometimes. Of course, he's found himself a fair share of trouble more times than he would admit to because of it. Furthermoer, his constant strive for success does come at a steep price, that being a feeling of utter non-complacency. Of course not everyone, or everything for that matter, will be done in by the method to Shane's madness. This in turn will leave him questioning himself. Call him self-critical if you will.
All in all, Shane is a selfless, well-mannered, and bitterly impulsive individual.

History:
Raised in Vermilion City within the Kanto region, Shane Alexander Norwood is only child, having a successful Pokemon breeder for a father and a former coordinator for a mother. While both occupations indeed have their perks, neither had grown to be appealing enough to their son. He had spent much of his younger days hanging along the nearby routes, watching traveling trainers challenge and eventually capture wild Pokemon. Of course, after seeing that, he wanted to learn as much about all of these majestic creatures as he possibly could.
One could say that he might have gotten ahead of himself at the time. The truth was that Shane opted for a more hands on approach. He wanted to see for himself as to what sort of interactions that these so-called monsters generally have with each other. In his young and feeble mind, he figured what better way to analyze this than having them battle one another.
It may have taken quite a bit of convincing, but it wasn't until late last summer when Shane had finally gotten his wish. Whether or not that wish would truly be fulfilled was entirely up to him from then on. To start with, he was given an adorable little Pichu on his birthday, a shiny one at that, as well as few PokeBalls. There was just one problem with that. Doesn't a battle require two Pokemon facing off against each other? He figured as much.
With that in mind, he set out to explore the routes adjacent to Vermilion City. It didn't take long for him to have his first engagement, a Pidgey no less. Fortunately for Shane, his newly acquired Pichu - whom he named Mickey - had the edge in terms of types in that battle. The Pidgey, whom Shane would name Falco, would be his first catch.
Noting their son's success in that matter, they were convinced. Perhaps they should allow their growing boy to pursue his own goals as a trainer after all, or so they thought. With all things considered, they had enrolled Shane into Gray Haven Academy. Maybe now, given enough time adjust to completely new environment, his dream to be a successful Pokemon trainer would soon become a reality.
