Personality: Terry is a very active person. He enjoys any form of physical activity and often pushes himself too far. He also loves being outdoors. Terry is the kind of person who never backs down from a challenge. He acts first and thinks later because of this he finds himself in unfortunate situations quite often. He is also very kind and caring as he will help anyone in need if he can. He is a very optimistic person, believing that everything will work itself out no matter what. He is also quite stubborn and never likes to admit when he loses especially if it's an argument. He cherishes his friends and those closest to him and will always try to motivate them. Terry also has a very unique way of looking at people. He considers everyone his rival in some way as people who he needs to surpass.
There are few things that Terry doesn't tolerate well. He dislikes the cold and rain as much as he dislikes when things are complicated. Intricate plans are a buzzkill to his unplanned actions. He really hates people who cheat in a competition and has vowed never to do so. Growing up an only child he hates being by himself for long periods of time. He also hates staying still as it makes him fidgety and anxious. He has an explosive temper and once he gets riled up it is very hard to calm him down.

History: Anyone who has lived in the Hoenn region knows about Lavaridge. The hottest town in the region was home to the Very small Logan family. It was just Terry and his mother who was a very person. She was a skilled pokemon trainer and had great hopes for Terry. According to her Terry takes after his father though in the regards that he is very energetic and is hardly still for very long. His mother would leave him to play with the neighbours since she knew he disliked being alone but also to keep him out of trouble.
Growing up with the kids in the area, Terry was known as the 'rambunctious' one as he was always the one doing ridiculous tricks. He enjoyed the thrill and especially the look on everyone's face when he did something they thought he couldn't. Whether it was climbing trees or going into the tall grass unaccompanied, he was up for any challenge. Unfortunately for him it often led with him being chased home by some wild pokemon or another though he would always call it a 'tactical retreat'.
Around his eleventh birthday Terry pleaded with his mother endlessly to give him a pokemon to train for himself. She was reluctant, fearing he would get reckless and get both himself and the pokemon badly hurt. She told him if he could prove to be responsible and mature for a year she would give him one. Needless to say Terry wasn't happy with this deal but he took it anyway. A few months went by and he was reaching the end of his rope not going wild doing what he wanted.
One day after his mother left, Terry decided to just take a quick look around the nearby mountain to find something fun to do. There he saw a baby Magby, laying on the floor and seemingly weak. He rushed over to it to see what was wrong. He wasn't sure what to do so he carried it home with him. When he got back to the town and brought it to the pokemon center. Unfortunately for Terry his mother was in there when he came in and saw him. Before she could question him they noticed the little Magby and immediately called for a nurse.
After a quick examination they learned the Magby was just very hungry as it was seperated from its parents too quickly and hadn't eaten in a while. Terry's mother at first were upset that he broke their deal but then she thought it over and realized if he didn't then who knows when somebody would find the Magby. It might have died if it wasn't for him so she forgave him and told him she would definitely get him a pokemon on his birthday. On his birthday his mother gave him 2 pokeballs. One containing the Magby he saved and the other containing an Elekid, the child of her own Electabuzz.
After a few years of traversing the areas around the Lavaridge town with Helios, the Magby, and Izzy, the Elekid, Terry came to a decision. He wanted to go to the Gray Haven Academy, which he heard about when his neighbours moved to Mavro City. He decided that he would go and hone his skills to become a great pokemon battler. His mother approved, hoping that he would learn a lot and not get himself into too much trouble there. She knew better though but sent him anyway. Terry packed up and was shipped off.
