Date of Birth: January 1st
Birthplace: Hoenn

Personality: Celeste is, first and foremost, extremely self-assured. She faces life with calm, collected poise and is extremely hard to shake. While her resolute confidence may seem to be a positive trait, it is, in reality, a double-edged sword. Because she is so self-reliant, Celeste finds it hard to open up to others and may seem standoffish or snobby to people who don't know her well. She can also become very demanding at times, always asking for perfection.
And, while it may seem contradictory to her job as a Coordinator, Celeste is also rather favorable of silence, and is a woman of little words. She doesn't see the need to speak more than is necessary, and is extremely blunt when pointing out flaws. However, she is more than willing to allow someone to talk her ear off if they were really distressed, but will also note their moment of weakness when judging their characters. Also, whether or not the agitated individual will receive more than a few sentences of advice is a completely different question.
Celeste is rather idealistic, although she may not appear as such when first meeting someone. She dreams big, and isn't afraid to tell others of her ambitions, even if she doesn't bring up the topic herself. Celeste firmly believes that people need to reach for a far off goal in develop as an extraordinary person, and that failing to meet such objectives will also bring about a positive result, potentially uncovering a layer of the self that has never been touched upon before. As such, she will always encourage people to follow through with their aspirations, no matter how improbable they may be.
However, because of Celeste's naturally aloof personality, she finds it hard to look up to other people, especially if they share differing beliefs. She is a firm devotee to the idea that people must earn respect before it can be given. And, with the high expectations she has set for both herself and the people around her, Celeste can be very hard to please. As a result, it may take weeks of effort before she is even close to accepting someone as her friend and equal. But, it isn't an impossible endeavor. Similarly, she is also a supporter of tough love, and will be harsh on all her students and peers, if only to build them up for future success.

History: Celeste was born and raised in the quaint town of Lilycove City, located in the Hoenn region. From a young age, her parents constantly introduced her to different interests by bringing her to the local museum, Pokemon fan club, department store, etc. However, for reasons unknown, she had never been allowed to step foot into the town's Contest Hall. For the longest time, Celeste didn't question her situation; she was content to avoid the building so long as she had her parents' approval and as many candies as she could eat.
Yet, as she grew older, the Contest Hall began to appeal to her more and more. It grew increasingly alluring with every passing day, with every warning her parents told her, and Celeste just had to know what it was about Pokemon contests that drew flocks of visitors every day to that stately building. So, under the guise that she was headed to the department store, Celeste stole away with Alaire, her companion since childhood, and entered the Contest Hall where breathtaking performances and stunning costumes enamored her so completely she couldn't believe what she had been missing all her life. Since that moment, Celeste was determined to become the region's best coordinator.
Her parents, however, immediately found fault in her hopes. They forbade her from pursuing her dreams, and that resulted in a bitter argument between them and Celeste. The verbal accusations flew back and forth, crossing lines that would have been better left untouched, and their bonds were torn beyond repair. In the end, while her parents reluctantly stepped down, Celeste was never able to truly reconcile with them. She never found out why they were so against her becoming a coordinator, and sweets no longer interested her the way they used to.
Leaving the house, Celeste travelled throughout the Hoenn region, building her team and returning to Lilycove City periodically to participate in contests. With every meticulously chosen addition, Celeste found herself dominating the Pokemon contests more and more, although her relationships with other people began to fade. When she finally reached the top, having conquered all ranks of contests in the Hoenn region, Celeste found herself standing there alone. As was her nature, she brushed the situation aside without a second thought, although she did take a moment to reevaluate her goals. Here she was, at the tender age of 21, having fulfilled everything she wanted to do, and coming out with nothing but pins and ribbons for her troubles. She wanted something more tangible than the trophies she had placed in her room. Celeste wanted a legacy. She wanted to pass on her knowledge, to allow people to follow in her footsteps, and to teach the art of coordination to the next generation. So, upon seeing there was an open spot at Gray Haven Academy, she promptly applied and hopped on the earliest boat headed to Harmonia Island.
