Course Description: While battling is the more prevalent route taken by Pokemon trainers, the popularity of Pokemon contests has also been on the rise. Course Goals:
- Understand the making and usage of Pokeblocks as contest supplements
- Create and apply various strategies during a contest
- Work in unison with their Pokemon while performing
- Appeal to the crowd and hold their attention
- Appreciate the worth of training Pokemon for more than just battling or companionship
What to Bring:
- A notebook or computer to take notes on
- Your Pokemon (who will be allowed out during class if they don't distract others)
- Homework (if any was assigned)
Rules:
- Do not talk during lectures or demonstrations. This is a classroom, not a playground. Save your socialization for before or after class.
- Be respectful of one another. If someone else is speaking, wait your turn before standing up and offering your opinion, and only if Celeste has opened the topic for debate. Questions will be accepted at the end of the lecture/demonstration or after class.
- Come on time. Celeste is very particular about late students, and you will be unable to earn rewards if you did not make a post during the first round. Students who enter during the second round will no longer be eligible for rewards, and the door will be locked starting from the third round.
- Eating during class is allowed, but you must clean up after yourself. Otherwise, eating will be banned in the future.
- Please only make one post per student per round. Allow others the chance to engage in the discussion if they so wish.
Rewards: At the end of class, Celeste will offer all students who arrived on time high-quality Pokeblocks that they are free to take with them.
Planning: Classes will generally be started over the weekend, but this will also depend on other real-life factors. The waiting period between my first and second posts will range from 24 hours to 72 hours. I will not post earlier than 24 hours, and I will not wait longer than 72 hours. Every post after that, however, will have a waiting period of 24 hours to 48 hours.
