Karl was chilling at the beach. He had been throughout the known world aside from a few off the beaten track places but not one beach he had been to was like Harmonia Beach. He had a slight reason to be here. There was a few pokemon that Karl wanted to study in battle. Namely he had an idea to build himself a Rain Dance Team. Water was one of the few elements that you could build a solo element team from and not be completely swamped by a pokemon who had your weaknesses. If you went up against a Electric Type there were several species who had the ability to either nullify it, absorb it, or not be affected by it. If they used a grass type there were several that could easily counter it either by typing or moves. Rain Dance was also very versitile. Not only did it heal with certain abilities but with another ability it gave them a speed boost. He had started forming a team in his head but to do it. He needed a particular pokemon. A pokemon capable of instantly creating rain just by appearing. He needed a Politoad with Drizzle. It was just a matter of finding a Poliwag running it through some training to evolve to Politoad then using an ability capsule to change it's ability to Drizzle.

Karl hummed "alright time to search the surf."

Karl hummed as he saw a Squirtle just chilling out

"A squirtle would be a good pokemon for a Rain Dance Team." Karl muttered "however I already have a Blastoise..."

A pokeball rocked and Turtle came out. "Blastoise..." Turtle muttered as he saw a young blood of his species

Karl chuckled "yeah Turtle, you remember those days when you were just a upstart squirtle. You picked a fight with Pyra and got yourself toasted.

Blastoise chuckled as he nodded. He hummed "Blast..." he nodded his head toward the Squirtle

Karl hummed "you thinking of mentoring a young one huh?"

Blastoise nodded

Karl hummed "I'm not against it, in fact having a young one around the class may up but if he causes trouble he's your problem."

Turtle grunted and sundered over to the Squirtle "Blastoise." He called

The Squirtle yelped in surprise and fear and quickly withdrew into his shell.

Turtle chuckled and made a comment

The Squirtle came out of his shell then looked at Turtle with confusion.

The two would talk for a bit. The Squirtle occasionally looking at Karl with a bit of confusion however that confusion would turn into curious interest and after a bit the Squirtle and Turtle seemed to make a agreement as the two pounded hands

Turtle walked back with Squirtle

"if you wish for a translation." Seer stated calmly "the young squirtle name is Sheldon. He's accepting being trained by you and mentored by Turtle."

Karl chuckled "you'll be a great student I can feel it."
