Name: Chloe Fath
Age: 16 years old
Date of Birth: August 26th
Birthplace: Orre - Pyrite Town as a young child and then Phenac City
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Demisexual
Face Claim: Fujimiya Kaori - Isshuukan Friends
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features:
[/ul]Height: 5'7''
Character Type: Student
Personality:
Chloe is always nervous. Her eyes are always wide and watching. She's seen too much in her short years to ever let her guard down. This makes her jumpy, and the slightest touch can send her flinching and jumping away. Close contact is not something she likes unless she is very comfortable with a person - and this takes a while. She is overly critical of herself, and so she is used to a feeling of failure. Nothing she does will ever be quite good enough. It's like some part of her thinks that she has to continuously prove herself, over and over.
On the other hand, Chloe is a very loving girl. Her twin sister, Faith, is the most important person in her life. She wishes she were more like Faith - outgoing and bubbly, not content to hide behind her hair. She would do anything for those she cares about, this usually being her family. Outside of her family, she is wary. She's terrified of close personal connections, convinced that they will blow up in her face. She is gentle, sweet, and empathetic, and this makes her very good with most Pokémon, which is where she has found her passion. Her loyalty and passion has the potential to make her great, whatever she chooses to do, if only she doesn't ruin it for herself.

History:
Chloe was born and raised for a year or so in Phenac City, with her mother and father and her twin sister, Faith. Things were tense even then, but about the time she was two, her parents got into a really bad fight. To hurt her mother, her father took both girls, moving to Pyrite Town. Their mother had no idea where they were, and since they were so young, it was easy for him to convince them both that their mother hadn't wanted them anymore. Life with her father was hard. Most of his harsh words were directed at her, since Faith was much more upbeat and outgoing. Even when Faith acted up and made him mad, Chloe seemed to get more of the brunt of his anger, simply because she was more likely to be present. Faith would run off.
It wasn't until they were about nine that their mother figured out where they were. She immediately went and got the two girls, and with the legal system on her side, the little family was soon back in Phenac City. But for Chloe, the damage had already been done. She doubted everyone's feelings towards her. She doubted everyone's words towards her. Faith was the one she clung to, as she slowly got back to trusting her mother. Still, her father had made her hate herself, and that damage was slow to repair.
In school, she was bullied quite a bit, because she was quiet, sullen, and withdrawn from everyone except Faith, who was quite a bit more popular. Faith tried to keep Chloe safe from everyone's harsh words, but there was only so much she could do. Chloe spent most of her time with books, with headphones in, or on the computer. Her father's anger had left her terrified of anyone getting too close, and she thrived in environments when there was imposed space - like online.
When the girls were thirteen, they both got their first Pokémon as a birthday gift. Faith got a Vulpix, and Chloe...
Chloe picked out a runty little Cubone. The tiny creature had been crying when they went to see the options, and she could tell the other Cubone picked on him. Her protective instincts kicked in, and she had instantly chosen him.
He became her best friend. She named him Calhoun, meaning warrior. The two were inseparable. They protected each other, from danger both real and imaginary. And for the first time in a long time, Chloe looked almost happy. She wasn't supposed to take him to school with her, but sometimes she would still sneak him around in her backpack. Her mother pretended not to notice.
One day, Chloe was reading online, and stumbled upon Gray Haven Academy. She knew instantly that she wanted to go. A fresh start would be great! No one would know she was the weird girl who had been kidnapped by her father, and she could learn skills that could give her a future career that she would like. And maybe, just maybe, she could be her own person.
Of course, her mother needed little convincing, and so Chloe was enrolled, accepted, and on her way. Upon arrival, she was given a second starter Pokémon, a Whismur
