Hello, How Are You? [Plot with Serena]

Serena grew up in a town in the middle of nowhere, where pokemon are generally used in favor of technology. Her parents were very overbearing and were never satisfied with anything she did, so over time she came to honestly believe that she simply couldn't do anything right and that she was just so utterly incompetent that she shouldn't try at all. As a result, she's very timid and has almost no self-confidence. On a whole, she thinks that she's a burden and that no one would like someone like her around.
Friends
Serena is technically an extrovert, but she's painfully shy about talking to people so most people wouldn't know it. She wants to be around people, and she wants to have a lot of friends, but sees herself as a burden that she shouldn't force on people. As a result, she's less likely to actively try to talk to people, in the sense that she's not likely to start a conversation in normal circumstances. However, if someone's hurt, she thinks she hurt someone, or someone talks to her she can actually be pretty chatty. She tries hard to make sure conversations continue, believing it to be rude to leave someone hanging or to leave silences.
If someone can get past her confidence issues, she's actually quite friendly and extremely dedicated. She'd do almost anything for her friends, and is even more likely to do something she'd otherwise consider 'Bad' if it would make them happy. She can be somewhat obsessive about helping them, believing that she has to make up for receiving their friendship somehow, and that if she somehow stops being useful to them they'd no longer want to be her friend. Friendships and similar emotional connections are important to her, and she fears being alone, so she's willing to do quite a bit to keep them. It makes her easily targeted by less savory types.
Enemies
About the only way to get Serena to dislike you is by going after one of her friends in some way. She believes herself entirely worthy of any insults she gets, or any physical or emotional pain she otherwise suffers, so going after her is unlikely to bother her in the slightest. Being mean or hurting her friends though, is an unforgivable sin, and is one of the few things that can send her into a rage. It's rare she'd become violent or even slightly insensitive to such people, but she'd be willing to do just about anything her friends asked her to do to such people, including physical violence.
Because of her views on friendships, she's easily used by people that are willing to be her 'friend' in exchange for favors. This might make her enemies with other people, but it's okay because it's important to do stuff for your friends first! People like this could hardly be considered friends to begin with, but Serena just doesn't think like that. She'll take all the friends she can get.
Lovers
Serena is exclusively attracted to women and is still in denial about this. Her parents are still under the impression that she'll come home a great trainer, meet a nice man and have a family of her own, so the thought of letting them down is a pretty harsh one. She's aware of her feelings, but still strongly wishes it weren't the case and is still disgusted by it. She's not very likely to be interested in romantic relationships until she sorts out her feelings in that regard.
Others
I'll put other plot ideas here when I think of them. I'm open to any plots though, even if they're kind of vague. Don't be afraid to discuss anything! We can try to hammer out the details and maybe get a thread going.
