As one were to walk into the classroom, the first thing they’d most likely notice would be the odd, new age music playing. It was of a soothing beat, playing quietly from bluetooth speakers at the front and back of the room. In addition to the blue-haired teacher in a maroon pantsuit sitting at her desk, there were a few Pokémon sitting around the large room as well. Next to her desk laid a large, golden Luxray with his paws tucked mostly beneath him and his eyes closed; on her desk sat a Sylveon, her ribbons floating around her. At the back of the room a Nidoqueen sat next to a silver-flamed Rapidash, who was seemingly wearing saddlebags made for the sole purpose of holding eggs. Six of the pouches were occupied with eggs, gathering warmth from the hot bodied equine.
The room itself was as calming as a classroom could be, the music aside. The walls were decorated with a variety of motivational posters and insightful facts about Pokémon breeding, as well as a section with a few framed photographs of the teacher herself with armfuls of hatchling Pokémon from her own center back home, beaming at the camera, hatchling Pokémon by themselves, or other varied pictures from her facilities. On the walls by her desk itself sat a few framed degrees of Pokémon breeding itself, as well as one commendation for her work with her charity.
Deirdre sat at her desk, chewing on her lower lip as she glanced through her syllabus. As was the norm when it came to anything business related, the blue haired woman was dressed in a pantsuit. It was maroon, with a white shirt underneath the suit coat. She didn’t ever wear a tie with it, but it still looked very professional in her eyes. Today was of course going to be pretty simple, a meet and greet more than anything and going over what her class was going to be like. Still, De would be lying if she said she wasn’t a little nervous. It was her first class, after all, and she hadn’t met any of the students yet.
Despite that, she was cautiously optimistic. She knew the material she was teaching. Her Pokémon were all here by her side. Swallowing down the lump in her throat she attempted to straighten the unstraightenable-mass of papers on her desk before folding her hands on top of them. Sitting up straight, she reached up to scratch behind the Sylveon’s ears to calm herself down more than anything. Still, her eyes were still and there was a smile on her lips. All she had to do was wait for students to arrive.
As this is the first class, I’m going to try to keep it short and sweet for the most part. Before posting, I highly recommend reading this class’s Guidelines so you know what you’re getting yourself into. Otherwise, as it’s the Holiday Season, I won’t post any earlier than forty-eight hours between rounds, so worry about having to post as soon as possible! (And depending on how things go with my jobs, even forty-eight may be pushing it aha.) All in all, have fun~
